Life at HSS Nyoma is a perfect mix of learning, laughter and Ladakhi weather. Here, students brave the cold, teachers battle the syllabus, and everyone waits eagerly for the sun! From classrooms to football fields, from clubs to competitions, every day brings a new story. Sometimes the internet disappears, sometimes the projector refuses to work—but somehow, the school spirit never does!
At Nyoma, we don’t just teach lessons; we create memories—one cold morning and one cheerful day at a time.
Campus Life

Exposures
Exposure tours and excursions are an integral part of school life. They give students opportunities to explore, learn beyond the classroom and broaden their horizons. In 2025, we paid homage to our brave martyrs at the Chushul War Memorial, while in 2026, we experienced the charming life and beauty of Kullu-Manali. Beyond learning, these journeys are where memories are made and friendships grow.

Hostels
A Home Away from Home
Students find a warm and welcoming home in the two residential hostels—KGBV and NSBV, under the Samagra Shiksha Scheme. This is where fun, friendship and learning begin. They may not have homework, but they certainly have “Hostel Work”—sharing responsibilities, helping each other, and learning the values of discipline, teamwork and independence.

Happiness
Education is not just about academic learning; it is about the physical, mental and overall development of every student. At GHSS Nyoma, we believe that true growth is measured not merely by income or achievement, but by happiness, health and well-being. After all, a healthy body nurtures a healthy mind.
